Meet your physician

Experience across the full spectrum of care.

Dr. Boukouvala is a family medicine physician with postgraduate training in general surgery and a lifelong belief that excellent care should feel both rigorous and deeply personal.

Before becoming a physician, she served patients as a registered nurse and family nurse practitioner. That broad perspective shapes her special interests in wound care, procedures, regenerative medicine, sports medicine, healthy lifestyle, hormone replacement, and medical weight management.

Through her work with Crescent Wound Care, Dr. Boukouvala provides wound care in skilled nursing and post-acute settings. Drawing on her surgical training and clinical experience, she evaluates wounds, performs debridement when appropriate, and develops individualized dressing and healing plans. She works with facility care teams to address factors that affect healing, including pressure, circulation, nutrition, and underlying medical conditions.

She looks beyond a single symptom to understand the fuller picture and partners with each patient on a plan that is clear, realistic, and uniquely their own.

“The best care begins by listening—then bringing experience, evidence, and empathy to the same table.”
